LNG Shipping

Since LNG should be kept in the special circumstance so its transportation needs to high technology.Nowadays LNG transportaion business is the most profitable trade.Almost all the LNG carrier builders are in use and they do not accept any more offer to new constraction by 2009.Due to increase of spot trade, many of shipping company decide to order unbooked ships construction.Now 22 percent of gas trade is done in the LNG form including long term contracts and spot cargoes.however LNG carrier's constraction cost has fallen recently but shipping cost has increased due to fule price had rose intensively.
LNG carriers are in two types, first membrane and second moss type.Second is a more commonly in the LNG shipping than first type.
Recently NITC (National Iranian Tanker Company) orderd some LNG carriers and going to enter in this profitable industry in the near future years. If Iranian LNG projects get FID and to be completed at that time they may carrier Iranian LNG.I hope so.

What is the LNG?

LNG or Liquified Natural Gas is a gas that is made liquid at -161 centigrade and atmosphere pressure.Since gas transmission is not possible anywhere by pipline so LNG has got important role in the world energy market .A few country are able to produce and export LNG because of its high cost and top technology.Today Qatar is the biggest producer in the LNG industry and Japan is the biggest buyer.However nowadays LNG's share in the world energy basket is not large amount but it is expected that it will intensively increase in the following years.
Would be the LNG the pick of the energy basket in the future?I think so.
